SARAJEVO, May 14 (FENA) - The Administrative Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina today rejected the initiative of an MP in the House of Representatives from the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) Šemsudin Mehmedović not to pay salaries to deputies and delegates for those months when those legislatures houses do not sit in session.
Mehmedović told FENA that there was no discussion about the initiative at all and that the Croat Democratic Union (HDZ) and the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD) were against the initiative.
The initiative was supported by representatives of the SDA and the Democratic Front.
Due to the manner of decision-making, he added, the initiative did not receive a sufficient number of votes from all constituent peoples.
"The reputation of the MPs has reached its lowest point, precisely because of the arrogant behavior that the deputies have shown during the pandemic. I am really surprised by this attitude of the MPs and they should have shown a higher degree of character," concluded Mehmedović.
