ZAGREB, May 14 (FENA) - Croatian Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić Radman spoke on the phone with Cardinal Vinko Puljić, Archbishop of Vrhbosna, on Wednesday and expressed support for serving Holy Mass in Sarajevo Cathedral as part of the 75th anniversary of the Bleiburg tragedy.
Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) said that the mass was planned for May 16 as part of the program to mark the 75th anniversary of the Bleiburg tragedy and the Way of the Cross.
Cardinal Puljić was jointly elected by the bishops of Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina as head of the Eucharist for the Bleiburg victims.
Despite coronavirus pandemic, Cardinal Puljić and Minister Grlić Radman expressed satisfaction that the culture of remembrance will continue this year in Bleiburg, Sarajevo and Zagreb, where the state leadership will lay a wreath and light a candle with a prayer at the Mirogoj cemetery, it is said in a statement, Hina reported.
