SARAJEVO, May 14 (FENA) – A total of 650 people were tested in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the past 24 hours, six of them tested positive for Covid-19. They are from Žepče, Tešanj, Zenica, Sarajevo and Široki Brijeg.

Davor Pehar, a member of the FBIH Civil Protection Crisis Staff and Director of the FBiH Public Health Institute, said today that such data indicate that the epidemiological situation in the Federation of BiH is still satisfactory.

So far, more than 25.000 samples have been tested, and coronavirus has been confirmed in 998 people. The highest number of infected people is in the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton 260 and Zenica-Doboj Canton, where 241 cases have been confirmed.

Pehar points out that 33 persons are hospitalized, and none of them are on a ventilator, and a total of 745 patients have recovered and currently there are 216 active patients.

He confirmed that serology tests are still not being carried out, but this will be done if necessary and if a new wave of coronavirus infection occurs.

He also talked about traveling to other countries and said that there is a lot of ambiguity about the rules that apply in some countries and that it is said that one of these conditions should be a negative test for coronavirus, but when conditions are created the health system will be able to answer citizens' inquiries.
