USC is seeking liberalization of measures for citizens working abroad

BIHAĆ, May 12 (FENA) - The Crisis Staff of the Ministry of Health of the Una-Sana Canton (USC) has officially requested the FBiH Civil Protection Administration and the FBiH Ministry of Health to liberalize, i.e. facilitate measures for citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina working abroad.

“We are looking for certain benefits for our citizens who work in Croatia, Slovenia, Austria and Germany because in this part of BiH there are a lot of people with a work permit abroad. Of course, our request refers to the issuance of a decision on mandatory fourteen-day home isolation. A large number of citizens have contacted us for help, but the Cantonal Ministry of Health cannot change the decision of the FBiH border sanitary inspector,” said USC Minister of Health, Nermina Ćemalović.

Certain corrections are required when issuing these decisions, i.e. that in case of need and urgency to return to the place of work, to make it possible to do so in a way previously performed in the case of drivers.

“The decision can currently be terminated only by FBiH inspector, or an order of the FBiH Civil Protection Administration which would provide benefits to employees abroad, as in the case of drivers, train drivers, and pilots. We hope for such order so we would provide our people with written confirmations about the urgency of returning to work in a foreign country,” added Ćemalović.
