SARAJEVO, May 4 (FENA) - The House of Peoples of the Federation of BiH, on the proposal of MP Elmedin Konaković, has set up a temporary working body or committee to examine the procurement of 100 ventilators from China, paid 10.5 million KM and procured through the company Silver Raspberry from Srebrenica, which produces raspberries.

“I am glad that we are all thinking the same in order to solve this problem. Members of the Bosniak Caucus are Fahrudin Skopljak (SDA), Elmedin Konaković (NiP) and Zvonko Marić (SBB), Damir Džeba (HDZ BiH) from Croat Caucus and independent delegate Damir Marjanović, Dragan Stevanović (SDP) and Žarko Vujović (SD) from Serb Caucus, and from the “Others” Vibor Handžić (NS),” said Konaković.

The aim of the Committee is to examine whether the supplier had the necessary permits, whether the prices were marketable when purchasing ventilators and other circumstances.

“We support the establishment of such body. Corruption is one of the phenomena that plagues society. With all this, the most important is that through corruption, our resources are reduced and we have to fight it. There is no golden rule for this, but we must all make our contribution in the fight against corruption, and the establishment of this body is crucial. It is important that some procedures be examined in the most transparent way,” said Head of the Bosniak Caucus Jasmin Duvnjak.

The first meeting of the Committee will be held after today's meeting, which should appoint the chair and deputy chairs of that body.
