SARAJEVO, April 28 (FENA) - President of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) Bakir Izetbegović spoke via video link today with the Head of the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ambassador Kathleen Kavalec, the SDA stated.
During this online meeting, the two discussed the conditions for holding the upcoming local elections, the allocation of the IMF loan resources and other ongoing issues.
They agreed that the response of the authorities to the problems caused by the coronavirus pandemic has been good so far and that all the activities and measures which save human lives and provide all necessary support to stabilize the economic situation in the country should be continued.
Izetbegović emphasized that the decision on the beginning of the election process should be left to the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina after the assessment of the epidemiological situation in BiH by the crisis staffs.
Izetbegović also underlined that the allocation of the IMF resources made available for BiH should happen as soon as possible in accordance with the Letter of Intent, the binding conclusion of the Council of Ministers of BiH and respecting the constitutional competencies of all levels of government in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
