Solak: Forest fires finally extinguished with the arrival of rainy weather

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, April 14 (FENA) - Fires have been extinguished with the arrival of rainy weather, said today the Head of the FBiH Civil Protection Service, Fahrudin Solak at a regular press conference by representatives of the FBiH institutions.

"Those small fires that lingered have finally been extinguished. If we adhere to the recommendations and good practice not to cause fires, I hope it will remain this way," said Solak.

He added that the FBiH Civil Protection Administration is still servicing 14 border crossings where people are temporarily detained until decisions are issued for quarantine.

"That retention lasts several hours until people enter into quarantine. We provided tents, beds, heaters and electricity, they have outlets to charge their mobile phones, also food, water, toilets. All these tents are maintained and disinfected regularly," Solak said.

According to him, in recent days, about 20 people have entered BiH at all border crossings.

Solak added that this was not a large number, but that it was important to have triage tents at all crossings.
