SARAJEVO, April 1 (FENA) - The Muslim World League (Rabitat), an international non-governmental organization dealing with Islam and Muslims in the world, will support Bosnia and Herzegovina with USD 300,000 of its own funds to help BiH fight the coronavirus pandemic.
Secretary-General of the Muslim World League, Mohammad Abdul Karim Al-Issa, informed the Chairman of the BiH Presidency, Šefik Džaferović, about this decision in a formal letter.
Al-Issa recently visited BiH, where he met with Džaferović and paid tribute to the victims of the Srebrenica genocide.
"Although it is an organization that is primarily concerned with promoting Islamic values and cooperation, and its program is not focused on this kind of support, Secretary-General Al-Issa found a way to support our country in this way. We will certainly appreciate that. I requested that the money be paid into the account of the institutions of BiH, which will include other means of support in the fight against the pandemic," Džaferović told FENA.
