Čović congratulates President of North Macedonia on formal NATO accession

SARAJEVO, March 28 (FENA) - Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH PA), Dragan Čovicć, congratulated the President of North Macedonia, Stevo Pendarovski, on his country's official accession into NATO.

On this occasion, Čović extended sincere congratulations to the residents and the institutions and officials of North Macedonia, who, united in celebrating this historic moment, welcome the achievement of a great aspiration and long-lasting dedicated work.

Membership in the NATO family, he points out, will contribute to the development of strong international cooperation and the preservation and development of stability, security, and democracy, at the same time contributing to the prospects of North Macedonia and the region of Southeast Europe.

Speaker of the House of Peoples of Bosnia and Herzegovina reaffirmed Bosnia and Herzegovina's determination to become a member of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization in the near future, as part of building a secure and developed Southeast Europe with strong and reliable international partners, stated the BiH PA.
