SARAJEVO, March 27 (FENA) – A total of 17.680 orders have been issued in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina on placing passengers under medical supervision or isolation measures for 14 days, the director of the FBiH Inspection Directorate, Anis Ajdinović, confirmed today.

He stressed that 86 FBiH inspectors, in three shifts, are conducting checks at 15 border crossings and at the Sarajevo International Airport, which will remain open until March 30, for 24 hours.

Ajdinović clarified that information on isolation orders are provided to all cantonal institutions, but also to institutions in the Republika Srpska and Brčko District if persons who entered BiH have entered through the Federation of BiH but reside in the RS or Brčko District.

“Thus, data for 1.829 persons were provided to the RS, while data for 164 persons were provided to the Brčko District. This continuous exchange of data shows that the state has the right answer to the imposition and control of isolation measures, and none of these 17.680 is on the list for which the Covid-19 virus has been confirmed,” Ajdinović said.

He also confirmed that at these border crossings controlled by FBiH inspectors, decreasing number of entries is recorded.

He emphasized that this shows how organized the work of the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the FBiH Inspection Directorate and other institutions is.

He also stated that they would initiate 58 misdemeanor proceedings, and several BiH citizens reported to the FBiH Inspection Directorate regarding the published list, reporting violations of isolation measures.

He recalled that the order concerning the movement of minors was clarified and parents of children with special needs are allowed to leave the home within 100 meters of the place of residence for 15 minutes, and said that he doubted anyone would impose penalties on those parents, but made clear that this applies only to these children.

He rejected claims by BiH Presidency member Milorad Dodik about the delay in the Federation of BiH in response to the spread of the new Covid-19 coronavirus over the Republika Srpska, calling them political, and confirmed that the FBiH institutions had adopted a set of measures two months ago.
