SARAJEVO, March 25 (FENA) - Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Fadil Novalić, said today that the Federation of BiH Railways have ensured a smooth flow of goods, which further determines the supply of food and energy, and guarantees functioning of economy.
“The FBiH Railways lowered the cost of transport and imported an international route for wheat, which fulfilled the request of the company Klas based on the requirements and legitimate needs of citizens. This means that there will be enough flour in shops in the coming period. If there were any problems with delivery, I ask citizens for patience and I urge them to trust the Government and our food and transport sector, which shows that it is up to the task. Also, I repeat that we also have full commodity reserves, but luckily there is no need to activate them, as long as we are able to secure international traffic of goods,” Prime Minister Novalić told FENA.
He said that he has been informed that the goods (import and export) railway traffic has been running between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Hungary, Czech Republic and Poland.
The FBiH Railways have ensured the smooth functioning of the electricity sector, through the supply of coal to Kakanj and Tuzla thermal power plants, and citizens can also feel safe in this regard. There will be electricity. Especially important for the economy is that the Railways freely transport goods, for import and export, for the needs of companies throughout the FBiH: Arcelor Mittal, GIKIL Lukavac, Cementara Kakanj, Sisecom Soda Lukavac, Natron Hayat Maglaj, HoldINA Sarajevo, Belisar-Studen Agrana Brčko, Hifa Oil and other companies.
