SARAJEVO, March 23 (FENA) - Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Fadil Novalić, said today that a video was broadcasted on a public television station and that it was obviously intended to make a joke about it, but added that he could not believe that someone is in the mood for joke now in this situation, or that someone cares if he buttoned his jacket and how he puts on the mask.

“It is clear that people respond differently to this crisis, but luckily in this very serious situation we have another type of people, those responsible and serious, and we want to talk about them, our doctors, police officers, inspectors and all those in charge for protecting life and health of our cirizens,” said Novalić.

He emphasized that the first day of the ban on movement in the territory of the Federation of BiH went well, and the regulation is currently being harmonized for those who do not obey the orders of the competent authorities, especially those who do not respect the decisions on isolation.

“The ban on movement was violated last night by only three citizens, but about 60 people who are in isolation do not respect this decision, which is why we decided to pass a new regulation tomorrow, and maybe tonight, which significantly tightens penalties for such persons,” added Novalić.

He stressed that the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina is working hard to rebalance the budget, which would be aimed at combating coronavirus.

He reminded that by a decision of the Government, BH Telecom has allocated 200.000 KM for each cantonal hospital in Zenica, Bihać, Goražde, Travnik and Konjic, and earlier it has been allocated 2,5 million KM for medical institutions from the civil protection and 30 million KM from the budget.

He announced that another decision would be made on Thursday when 21 million KM would be earmarked for transfers to lower levels of government, which would focus on the fight against coronavirus.

Novalić said that the FBiH Institute for Public Health was designated as an institution that would share equally what is procured in a professional manner on an equal basis according to the number of patients, as the goal is to equally reach every city and municipality in the FBiH.

Talking about the possibility of changing the VAT rate, Novalić stressed that this is not realistic because BiH has the lowest VAT rate in Europe, but the FBiH government suggested that the state level postpone the payment from the 10th of the month to the end of the month.

He confirmed that assistance from the Republic of Turkey has already arrived in BiH and its distribution is underway.
