SARAJEVO, February 20 (FENA) - Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mirsad Zaimović, received Ambassador Kathleen Kavalec, Head of the OSCE Mission to BiH.
Ambassador Kavalec emphasized the importance of the OSCE Mission to BiH and its support for various reform processes. The interlocutors paid special attention to the improvement of internal procedures and functioning of the House of Representatives, understanding and promotion of reform laws and regulations, and the establishment of offices that would create stronger cooperation with a focus on European integration.
Speaker Zaimović expressed his gratitude to the OSCE for its support and assistance in the implementation of projects and conferences so far, as well as numerous other activities aimed at strengthening the capacities of parliamentarians. He welcomed the efforts and expressed interest in continuing cooperation with the OSCE as part of signing of the draft Memorandum of Understanding between the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the OSCE.
Memorandum of Understanding between the House of Representatives of the Federation of BiH and the OSCE aims primarily to improve the work of the House, strengthen cooperation and dialogue with parliaments in BiH, the region and beyond, and improve legislative processes, announced the Office of the Speaker of the FBiH Parliament.
