MOSTAR, February 19 (FENA) - Speaker of the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly and President of HDZ BiH Dragan Čović received today Ambassador of North Macedonia in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ekrem Ebibi to discuss the current situation in BiH and exchange views on relations between BiH and North Macedonia.
Čović emphasized Bosnia and Herzegovina's commitment to EU and NATO integrations with a commitment to adopting European standards and implementing the necessary reforms, the HDZ BiH press office stated.
Ambassador Ebibi stressed that the Republic of North Macedonia expects the unblocking of the start of accession negotiations with the EU at the Zagreb Summit in May 2020.
The two officials expressed expectations that the European Council would pay special attention to unblocking the start of the accession negotiations with North Macedonia and Albania and to unblock the situation in which these countries found themselves at the last meeting of the European Council last October.
