SARAJEVO, January 30 (FENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Bisera Turković, who is also BiH's governor at the World Bank (WB), met on Wednesday with a World Bank delegation led by WB Executive Director for BiH, Koen Davidse.

The two officials discussed the continuation of cooperation between BiH and the World Bank, notably the structural reforms that are essential for the economic development of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Minister Turković emphasized that Bosnia and Herzegovina has successful cooperation with the World Bank and emphasized that the support of this institution is of strategic importance for the implementation of the reform processes in the country.

She estimated that World Bank projects should be the ones that will accelerate economic growth, create new jobs and directly affect the citizens’ lives for the better, so that young people do not leave our country.

Executive Director Davidse congratulated Minister Turković on her appointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH and her appointment as the new governor for BiH at the World Bank.

He stressed that the World Bank would continue to provide support and assistance to BiH, especially when it comes to health sector reform projects, energy efficiency improvement and public enterprise operations.
