ZENICA, January 24 (FENA) - The American Corner in Zenica promoted the Eco Challenge project, initiated by the US Embassy in BiH, during today's interactive workshop.

Manager of the American Corner in Zenica professor Sead Pašić told FENA that the American Corner, which operates within the Public Library Zenica, is also marking its 16th anniversary today, and emphasized that the purpose of the project is to show elementary and high school students "the way they can participate in the greatest possible things of human and political capacity."

“These are certainly environmental solutions, because we live in countries and cities where children are born with various diseases. 'Eco Challenge' is designed to be competitive and will last for a year. We will take care of rivers, river banks, parks and all possible aspects of environmental pollution in cities, because we have to save ourselves. The youth knows a lot more and wants a lot more to be involved in the activities of saving the environment and our lives than older people do,” Pašić belives.

The goal of today's workshop is for junior ecologists to get some new information and ideas for action. They will realize their projects from their own resources and present them through social networks, in the form of photos or video attachments.

US Ambassador to BiH Eric Nelson welcomed the participants of today's Zenica workshop via video link and wished them a successful work.
