SARAJEVO, January 15 (FENA) - An MP in the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliament, Nenad Nešić (DNS), after an extended session of the collegium of the House, told reporters that all the necessary conditions have been met for Mlađen Božović to be appointed minister in the BiH Council of Ministers.

He says the request by the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) caucus to remove this item from the agenda related to the appointment of the Minister for Human Rights and Refugees from tomorrow's session, or to postpone it for the next session, is a new development to him.

“We have nominated a candidate who has passed the vetting procedure,” said Nešić, adding that in earlier statements, the SDA representatives said that anyone who passes security checks and checks of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of BiH is acceptable to them.

In addition, in the agreement that was made during the formation of the ruling coalition, it was agreed for this minister to be a non-partisan person. And that has been respected as well. Božović is not a member of the Democratic People's Alliance (DNS), or of any political organization. Therefore, all the necessary conditions have been fulfilled for Božović to be appointed minister in the Council of Ministers of BiH,” said Nešić.

Asked what they plan to do if Božović was not named, he replied that he would wait and not prejudge anything.

He noted that the SDA is seeking further harmonization and that he would like someone to explain what the problem is with Mlađen Bozović.

He noted that the proponent is the only one who can withdraw this item from the agenda of the session of the House of Representatives, and in this case, it is the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH, Zoran Tegeltija.

“Since we should not outvote each other in the parliament, Tegeltija will have a consultation today and make a final decision whether or not the item will be on the agenda tomorrow. If this attitude of the SDA remains as it is, I expect the item to be withdrawn,” said Nešić.

Asked if there was a possibility of nominating another candidate, he replied that "they should first tell us what the problem is with this candidate, because it may happen that we propose another candidate and have the same problem again."
