SARAJEVO, December 24 (FENA) - 'Te Ora' company is an example of positive results of the diaspora investment in the food industry, given that this type of investment brings innovation in the domestic market, but also opportunities to connect and enter the international market. This company is therefore recognized through the activities of the USAID Diaspora Invest Grant Program.
Two years ago, Lilijan Sulejmanović, an entrepreneur from Bosnia and Herzegovina with London address, decided to start producing healthy food in her home country. Her story has gained great public interest, and since then her Bar Do brand has become increasingly recognizable in the domestic and international markets.
"For the next three days you can find us at the Sarajevo Holiday Market where we present our products in cooperation with the Sweden / USAID FARMA II project, and I would definitely invite all interested to come and try our products. Also, you can find us in health food stores, but also in all major standard markets and stores. We are starting to cooperate with local partners and expanding our network," said Sulejmanović.
She added that all of their products are gluten free, no milk, soybean, artificial additives. Energy bars, made from dried fruits, seeds, nuts, and dark chocolate, are already a product that nutritionists recommend in their diet plan. Recently they introduced Bar Do energy balls also based on natural fruits and nuts, with dates, cranberries, apricots and figs. According to Sulejmanović, with innovative recipes for Bar Do protein balls, they have achieved high protein content that is also appropriate for the vegan diet, which is quite rare in the wider European market, the USAID Diaspora Invest Activity announced.
