USTIKOLINA, November 27 (FENA) - Appropriate ceremony was held today on the occasion of 14th anniversary of BiH Armed Forces in 3rd Infantry Battalion of 4th Infantry Brigade in Kosova barracks in Ustikolina, which was attended by officials from area of Bosnia-Podrinje Canton and local communities within.
Commander of the 3rd Infantry Battalion of 4th Infantry Brigade, Colonel Mirnes Čosić, addressed the guests, after the Battalion Executive Officer, Major Senaid Srna handed over the report.
He emphasized that, marking the 14th anniversary of its existence, the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina proudly, professionally and successfully serve all citizens of BiH and honorably represent them beyond the borders of our country.
"We continue to be present in UN, NATO and EU peacekeeping missions. Last year was dedicated to developing strategies and plans for modernizing and equipping the Armed Forces of BiH to carry out its tasks defined in the BiH Defense Law even more successfully and more effectively. In the process of demining in BiH, the Armed Forces participate with about 20 percent and annually clear over two million square meters of mines and various mine-explosive devices," said Colonel Čosić.
He also emphasized the fact that the AFBiH members are always among the first to respond to humanitarian actions.
"Because of all the above and many other activities carried out by the Armed Forces of BiH, we, members of the Armed Forces, are proud to wear the uniform of the Armed Forces and to carry our country's flag on our shoulders," said Čosić.
