Slavko Milovanović acquitted of charges for crimes in Skelani

SARAJEVO, November 15 (FENA) - Having held a public hearing and closed-door deliberation and voting, on 15 November 2019 the Appellate Division Panel delivered an appeals judgment acquitting the accused Slavko Milovanović of the charges that he committed the criminal offense of Crimes Against Humanity under the Criminal Code of BiH.

The accused Slavko Milovanović is acquitted of the charges that in his capacity as a member of the reserve police unit of the CSB Sarajevo-SJB Skelani, MUP RS, during May 1992 he participated in the persecution of the civilian Bosniak population from the territory of Rešagići, Skelani, on political, national, ethnic, cultural and religious grounds, by ordering the commission of an inhumane act, with the intention to inflict great suffering and serious physical and mental injuries on Bosniak civilians, stated the Court of BiH.
