SARAJEVO, October 23 (FENA) - Ediba Bakira Trbonja-Kapić has been awarded with the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE).

On behalf of Queen Elizabeth II, the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire was handed over by British Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina Matthew Field at a ceremony held at the residence of the British Embassy in Sarajevo. Representatives of state and FBiH government in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sarajevo City Administration, as well as Ediba’s family, friends and colleagues were among the many guests present.

Ambassador Field told reporters that the MBE is awarded to the employee of the British Embassy in BiH, due to her long and dedicated work in the Embassy, as well as selfless efforts in the interests of the citizens of the two countries, Bosnia and Herzegovina and the United Kingdom.

Ediba stated that it is a privilege to work in an environment such as the British Embassy, with people and professionals who, apart from conscientiously doing their job, also work daily for the welfare of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Work and effort pay off, she said, because they ultimately result in satisfaction.
