SARAJEVO, September 30 (FENA) - BiH Presidency Chairman Željko Komšić received today Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Finland, Pekka Haavisto.
Chairman Komšić welcomed the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Finland Pekka Haavisto on behalf of the BiH Presidency.
Bilateral relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Finland are good and friendly, and the need to increase bilateral contacts at all levels was expressed.
The interlocutors agreed that the European Commission's Opinion on BiH's application for EU membership in May this year is an indicator how BiH can continue to move towards candidate status. It is necessary to accelerate the reform processes and implement the recommendations of the European Commission Opinion.
He expressed gratitude to Finland for supporting BiH in the EU integration process and said that the EU is a strategic foreign policy priority and goal of BiH, the BiH Presidency stated.
