SARAJEVO, September 26 (FENA) - The Social Democratic Party of BiH (SDP) Human Resources Committee held an emergency session last night in connection to the documents published in the media proving that Enver Zornić, a member of SDP BiH, had been convicted of murder in 1993, by the Military Court of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the murder of several citizens of Sarajevo, (Serbs and Croats), thus committing war crime.
Enver Zornić was also invited to attend the said session but he did not respond.
Based on the insight into the documents that were released in the media and the reaction of Enver Zornić, the Human Resources Committee of SDP BiH issued unanimous conclusions ordering the SDP BiH representatives in the Sarajevo Canton government to immediately remove from office Enver Zornić from the position of the director of the city’s public heating utility company "Toplane".
The Human Resources Committee of SDP BiH has also requested an emergency removal of Enver Zornić from the membership records.
The president and members of the SDP BiH Sarajevo Human Resources Committee did not have at their disposal the information in question, nor did they have access to the military archives, but because of the gravity of the circumstances, they feel responsible for the omission and therefore have filed a collective, irrevocable resignation.
The Human Resources Committee of SDP BiH Sarajevo also extends its sincerest apology to the victims' families, SDP members and to the citizens of Sarajevo and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Zornić's dismissal from duty will be launched today at a session of the Sarajevo Canton Government, at the initiative of SDP BiH ministers.
