TREBINJE, September 2 (FENA) - The Border Police expert’s team in Trebinje announced on Friday that organizational units in the east of the country are burdened with illegal migration in BiH, and that an increased number of migrants in this area could be expected in September and October 2019.
At a meeting, they discussed possible modalities for solving problems at critical points such as the border zone. The BiH Border Police will continue to maximize the engagement of people and material and technical equipment, but that more concrete support is expected in order to strengthen the agency, the BiH Border Police said.
Director of the BiH Border Police Zoran Galić, Deputy Director Fahrudin Halač, Assistant Director for Organization and Operations Dragan Kulić, and heads of the BiH Border Police basic organizational units attended the meeting of the expert team and they discussed the BiH Border Police Work Report for the first six months of 2019 and execution of the Annual Work Plan for that period.
Director Galić emphasized good results of the work, especially in prevention of drug smuggling, and insisted on strengthening the criminal intelligence component of BiH Border Police.
He stressed that he insisted on professional work, compliance with legal regulations and consistent application of the standards and rules of conduct prescribed by the codes of ethics of police and civil servants, stated the BiH Border Police.
