MOSTAR, August 23 (FENA) - Aluminij Management informed public that the plan to restart production has not failed and that severance payments to Aluminij employees are certain.
According to a press release, part of the funds needed for the severance payments has been secured, and every effort is made to secure all the funds for this purpose during the day and next week.
“The only source of funds needed to start production could come from the negotiated investor, so the latest reactions and public statements make the whole negotiation process more difficult and reduce the chances of starting production,” Aluminij Management said in a statement.
The Management called for "additional patience so that the processes can be completed without further complications."
"In order for Aluminij to continue the production and avoid bankruptcy, it is necessary to terminate employment contract with employees who will be declared redundant, but with severance pay. The alternative is to keep all employees, but in that case the company would not be able to pay wages for September and bankruptcy would be inevitable, " Aluminij Management said in a statement.
The Management added that immediately after the termination of the existing contracts, new contracts will be given to the employees needed to continue production in the first phase. Salaries will be in accordance with the conditions presented earlier.
“Aluminij Management does its best to ensure that no employee is left without job or without severance pay, that belongs to everyone. All of the above mentioned clearly indicates that the plan to restart production has not failed but is still active and we are working on it,” Aluminij Management stated.
