SARAJEVO, August 8 (FENA) – The promotion of the book "Očevidac - moj put u Hag" (“Eyewitness- My Journey to The Hague”) by Isak Gasi and Shaun Koos was held last night in Sarajevo as a documented testimony of the past war in Bosnia and Herzegovina, primarily through the survival and suffering of author Gasi, a former detainee at the Luka concentration camp in Brčko.

Promoters presented Gasi's testimony as his courageous fight for the truth, from leaving the camp to the present day, with the book being published in Bosnian and previously printed in English language.

Muamer Spahić, one of the promoters, stated that he was impressed by the author's attitude towards evil and the view that truth must be documented in a book, as a constant reminder to the community.

“The book is a testament to Isak's courage to endure these terrible moments,” stated David Pettigrew, a professor from the United States, also one of the promoters.

Pettigrew believes that in addition to the author's heroic survival in the camp and then testifying at The Hague Tribunal in some of the key war crimes trials in Bosnia and Herzegovina, publication of this book is additional step in his courage.

The book “Eyewitness- My Journey to The Hague” is one of the most important books on the breakup of the former Yugoslavia and it is written very well according to the promoter Edward P. Joseph, an American university professor.
