SARAJEVO, July 19 (FENA) - President of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) Bakir Izetbegović called on representatives of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD) to cease obstructing the work of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina and stressed that the failure to comply with numerous laws and documents in the proceedings sent by the Council of Ministers of BiH, causes enormous damage to BiH, citizens, economy and integration processes.

After the session of the SDA Presidency, Izetbegović stressed that more than 30 laws and 36 international documents are awaiting adoption, including agreements on financing various projects.

“We expect that finally, nine months after the election, the mandate for the new Council of Ministers of BiH will come from the SNSD, the BiH Presidency and the 'MPs will offer a work program for the next mandate, enabling the appointment of the Council of Ministers” he said.

He also called on the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) to propose a candidate for the position of the President of the Federation of BiH, in order to finally initiate the procedure for appointing a new cabinet of the Government of FBiH.

He added that the SDA Presidency supports resolving border demarcation issues with Serbia and Croatia, mutual respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the countries, pointing out the completely irretrievable and arbitrary assertion of BiH Presidency Chairman Milorad Dodik that the Bosniak side does not accept the signing of a treaty to resolve the borders of BiH and Serbia.

Izetbegović emphasized that the SDA Presidency welcomed the adoption of the Law on Demobilized Soldiers and their Family Members.

Izetbegović said that the SDA also backed the current initiative to pass the law on ban on denial of genocide, adding that it was necessary to adopt a series of laws to ensure peace and stability and stressed that he expects a decisive reaction from the Peace Implementation Council on Dodik's threat to the High Representative and anti-Dayton statements regarding this law.
