Numerous delegations in Potočari today

FENA Press release

SREBRENICA, July 11 (FENA) - Numerous delegations from BiH and across the world attended the Srebrenica genocide commemoration ceremony today.

Association "Women in Black" from Belgrade came to Potočari this year as well, and 26-year-old Nevena Todorević was one of them. This was her first time in Potočari, and she said it was very moving and difficult for her to be there.

"Remembrance is stronger than death and it is very important for us to be here today, to show there are citizens in Belgrade who remember genocide in Srebrenica and who call citizens to be responsible, to recognize genocide and stop denying it. It is very important to show our compassion to families of the victims and pay respects to the genocide victims," stated Todorović.

She emphasized that genocide is constantly being denied in Serbia.

"Our Prime Minister constantly denies genocide in Srebrenica. Until we face the past we will never be able to move on and establish normal relations in the region," said Todorević.
