SREBRENICA, July 11 (FENA) - Ambassador of the United States of America to Bosnia and Herzegovina Eric Nelson said today in Potočari today that he was honored that he yesterday took part in the Peace March and that he was attending today's commemoration for the victims of Srebrenica.
“I pray that today's ceremony brings peace to the families of victims,” emphasized Nelson in Potočari, where 33 victims of genocide committed 24 years ago will be buried.
He added that his country stands with the families of victims and all those working towards reconciliation and for the future in which there will be justice, peace and prosperity for all and in which crimes like the genocide in Srebrenica would never happen again.
After today's collective burial, the number of victims with their last resting place in the Memorial Center in Potočari will be 6,643, and the families still search for the remains of 1,000 persons.
