SIPA engaged in international operation codenamed 'Tebra'

SARAJEVO, July 5 (FENA) - Police Officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) in cooperation with the Croatian USKOK (State Prosecutor’s Office for the Suppression of Organized Crime and Corruption), the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Interior Ministry of West Herzegovina Canton, relevant courts and prosecutors' offices, participated in the international operation codenamed “Tebra”, which is realized on the territory of the two countries.

SIPA spokesperson Luka Miladinović told FENA that it was a co-ordinated action that is being conducted with the MoI of Croatia and USKOK by searching housing, movable property and persons on multiple locations in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia.

The operation was carried out on the basis of a multi-month investigation aimed at multiple persons in the two countries suspected of criminal offenses - organized crime in the field of illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs.

Miladinović confirmed that the transport of larger quantities of different narcotic drugs from Albania, Montenegro to BiH and Croatia was documented.

According to unofficial information, a total of 500 kilograms of the drug skunk has been confiscated so far, and ten are arrested in Croatia, and two in BiH are suspected of the alleged criminal offenses.
