KALINOVIK, June 23 (FENA) - The President of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) Bakir Izetbegović attended today the marking of the 27th anniversary of crimes against Bosniak civilians in Kalinovik.
He said that the purpose of the visit to Kalinovik is to be with the people who suffered the worst kinds of ethnic cleansing and genocide by the hands of the government.
Izetbegović added that he stands right beside the mural dedicated to the convicted war criminal Ratko Mladić in Kalinovik and that the truth about the genocide against Bosniaks in this part of the world must be reiterated and the importance of the fight for the survival and strengthening of Bosnia and Herzegovina must be emphasized.
"Bosniaks should not avoid giving testimonies but they do," said Izetbegović, stressing that it is necessary to strengthen all segments of the state so this evil will never be repeated again against Bosniaks, Serbs, Croats or anyone else in BiH.
He said that his is a message of peace but also that those who don't show repentance should not be forgiven, said the SDA.
