SARAJEVO, April 8 (FENA) - The Party of Democratic Action (SDA) has warned the RS authorities to be aware of the consequences of their announcement to form a reserve force of the entity police and has urged them to halt the process.
“The introduction of a reserve police force will disrupt the existing balance in the number of police officers and would negatively affect the overall security situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, especially since those announcements come at a moment when Milorad Dodik once again is redrawing redesigns some new maps of the so-called "Great Serbia", to the detriment of BiH and Montenegro,” warned the SDA.
Dodik and the authorities in RS would have to be aware that all those who, in the 1990s, on behalf of the Serb people, drew maps and introduced the reserve police units ended up in the prison cells of the Hague Tribunal, and that the attempt to create "Great Serbia" has brought nothing but suffering and losses to all the peoples in the region, and especially to the Serb people.
They must also be aware that, if the authorities of the RS entity insist on introducing a reserve force of the police, this will provoke a decisive and concrete response in the Federation of BiH and its cantons, in the form of the introduction of reserve units and additional equipping of the police in FBiH.
The SDA also noted that, in addition, it should be noted that the Federation of BiH has much larger financial and other capacities when it comes to the possible procurement of additional equipment and engagement of personnel for the police force.
“That is why it is for the best not to go into such a process at all. We urge the RS authorities not to take any steps in this direction, because the incitement of any instability is not in the interest of any of the peoples and citizens in BiH, but also in the region,” stated the SDA in its reaction.
