BIHAĆ, April 3 (FENA) - Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Una-Sana Canton and the OSCE Mission to BiH organized today in Bihać a meeting on which the Guidelines for the recognition of discrimination in the field of education in Bosnia and Herzegovina were presented.
The Guidelines on complex and important issues related to discrimination in the field of education were prepared by a working group composed of representatives of all ministries of education in the country, as well as experts in the field of education law.
“The working group first produced a comprehensive analysis, followed by the Guidelines on the basis of which the standards that are relevant for the recognition of discrimination should be integrated into our regulations.
First of all, this is a significant project for students, but also for teachers. The Guidelines have been comprised under the auspices of the OSCE Mission to BiH,” said Albijana Trnavci from the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the USC.
It has been confirmed that the Guidelines cover all levels of education, as well as all educational institutions, both public and private.
They contain basic assessments, attitudes and recommendations in the field of education in BiH, which should serve the competent authorities and institutions of government in creating a democratic society.
