FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, February 21 (FENA) - "Travel Guide - Customs Information for Travelers" a book by Nermin Ramičević, was promoted today in Sarajevo.

The author explains that the book is intended for BiH citizens in order to get informed about customs regulations as travelers, but also to visitors from the BiH diaspora and the world.

“The book offers useful information about the rules in the countries in the region and beyond in order to make the crossing of borders simpler and to educate travelers,” Ramičević said.

He pointed out that the book focuses on the customs regulations in Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Greece, Turkey, as well as the United States, China and Russia.

“For example, in Bosnia and Herzegovina, tax free reduction is up to the amount of 600 KM per person per day, both for BiH citizens and foreigners, while the same privilege in the US for their citizens is up to the amount of 800 USD, and for foreigners, it is 100 USD,” noted Ramičević.

He added that these numbers differ from country to country, which is why it is important to get acquainted with these regulations in order to avoid violations and paying sometime extensive customs duties.

Ramičević emphasized that the book also covers topics that are interesting for travelers with diplomatic passports, contacts of customs offices and embassies for potential assistance, as well as internet shopping and postal services.
