SARAJEVO, February 21 (FENA) - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina has been officially informed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of North Macedonia that the Republic of Macedonia has changed its constitutional name to the Republic of North Macedonia on 12 February 2019, with the entry into force of the Prespa Agreement.
It is also noted that the official notification of the name change has been submitted to the United Nations (UN) Protocol, to all UN members, as well as to international, multilateral and regional organizations, since the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM) has been admitted on 8 April 1993, under the provisional name, into the United Nations.
On this occasion, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH, as well as other BiH institutions, have been informed that in all forms of official communication, at the domestic and international level, the constitutional name, the Republic of North Macedonia is to be used, stated the Public Relations Office of the MFA BiH.
