MOSTAR, February 10 (FENA) - President of HDZ BiH and the Croat People's Assembly Dragan Čović and SNSD president and the BiH Presidency Chairman Milorad Dodik assessed at a meeting on Sunday in Mostar that the establishment of the state-level authorities should soon be completed, calling on Bosniak political representatives to join them and resolve this issue.
"There is no reason why the establishment of power at the state level should not go much faster than it is currently the case, and in the coming two weeks, all this should be completed. We also call on the third nation to work with us all that needs to be done in the future," Čović told reporters after a meeting with SNSD representatives and announced a meeting with representatives of SDA on Wednesday in Sarajevo.
After a meeting in Mostar, attended by HDZ BiH and SNSD delegations, Čović stressed that the two parties have an extremely fair and close partnership and friendly relations, which they have built for years, and that they agree that this partnership should be further strengthened.
SNSD leader Dodik emphasized that at present, the basic challenge in BiH is the formation of the state-level government and has called on "Bosniak representatives to join them in order to end the process of establishing power."
He also added that in the coming days, they will see "if there is a serious and organized obstruction of forming the government" and that they plan to respond to these blockades if they exist.
"We call on Bosniak representatives to complete the formation of the authorities together. Resolve your situation and then we should come together as political representatives of the peoples to agree in accordance with the Constitution who needs to do what", Dodik said.
Leaders of SNSD and HDZ also discussed the EU path of BiH and agreed that there is no alternative to it, and they also talked about the reform of the electoral legislation, which SNSD fully supports, "because it believes that one people cannot elect other people's political representatives."
