Komšić welcomes the signing of Protocol on Macedonia's accession to NATO

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, February 6 (FENA) - The BiH Presidency member Željko Komšić welcomed today's signing of the Protocol on the Accession of the Republic of Northern Macedonia to NATO, saying it is an important historical moment for both the country and its citizens.

He expressed hope that the country would soon become a full member of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, as well as the European Union.

“In the period that is behind us, all the stakeholders that were involved in resolving one of the most difficult disputes have shown continued political responsibility and accountability towards their citizens.

They gave us a clear example that reconciliation is possible, all for the purpose of a prosperous and secure future, both for Northern Macedonia and the whole region.

I hope that this example will be a good guide for us in Bosnia and Herzegovina to resolve the internal obstacles, all in the context of leading our country towards NATO and the EU,” said the BiH Presidency member Željko Komšić, the BiH Presidency announced.
