FENA

MOSTAR, February 6 (FENA) - Deputies in the Assembly of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton (HNC), elected by six delegates to the House of Peoples of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in a secret vote at today’s session in Mostar.

Three lists were nominated from the ranks of the Croat people, and three delegates were elected, namely Tomislav Martinović (HDZ BiH), Damir Džeba (HDZ BiH) and Iva Raguž (HDZ BiH), whose lists received 5 votes.

Two lists were nominated from the ranks of the Serb people and two delegates were elected, Vesna Saradžić (SDP BiH), whose list received one vote, and Zora Dujmović (HDZ BiH) also with one vote.

One delegate was elected from the ranks of the Bosniak people, Alisa Hajdarović (SDA), whose list received 9 votes, while the second list from the Bosniak people got one vote.

The list from the ranks of other nations, proposed by Aner Žuljević, received one vote, and based on these results the Central Election Commission will assign the mandates.

The list of the other nations will be still in option, as the Central Election Commission will take it into account when filling the House of Peoples in the second round, if there are not enough representatives from the ranks of other nations in the House of Peoples from the cantons where it is foreseen by the instructions of the CEC BiH.

A deputy of the Democratic Front in the HNC Assembly Selma Drljević left today's session and, according to her, by this act, she wanted to express the position of the political party that she represents.

“I did not want to participate in the implementation of the decision of the CEC which is unconstitutional and anti-Dayton according to legal experts, and therefore I did not want to take part in the election of delegates to the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament,” said Drljević.
