BiH Presidency Chairman Dodik receives Ambassador of Greece Georgios Iliopoulos

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, February 6 (FENA) - Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Milorad Dodik met today in Sarajevo with Ambassador of Greece to BiH Georgios Iliopoulos.

Dodik and Ambassador Iliopoulos noted that BiH and Greece are friendly countries with good relations at all levels.

Dodik conveyed positive impressions after the members of the BiH Presidency’s visit to Brussels and the meeting with the leadership of the European Union.

He noted that there is a broad consensus in BiH on the European path of the country.

When it comes to the issue of BiH's integration into NATO, Dodik said that he represents a policy that does not support NATO membership because he comes from Republika Srpska which advocates for military neutrality, and that “the National Assembly of that entity adopted a resolution on military neutrality, which he adheres to.”

Chairman Dodik and Ambassador Iliopoulos agreed that “the Council of Ministers should be formed as soon as possible so as not to get into the critical phase in terms of the functioning of BiH.”
