SARAJEVO, January 28 (FENA) - A new approach to the reconciliation process in Bosnia and Herzegovina is offered in the form of the Declaration of marginalized groups "Complete the Reconciliation Process - We Already Have", presented today at a workshop in Sarajevo.
The Declaration requests that the current problems (social exclusion and non-implementation of human rights instruments) be resolved and thus create conditions for a different position and role of marginalized citizens in the reconciliation process.
The reconciliation process has lasted too long, and obviously more is done on confrontation than on reconciliation. It is necessary to find a new bearer of this social process, the one who has a common interest in peace, stability, cooperation and communion, which are all synonymous with reconciliation. This role can be taken by the marginalized groups that need peace and stability in order to solve their basic problems,” said Director of the Initiative for Better Aand Humane Inclusion Žarko Papić.
He has recommended that the marginalized groups have been reconciled in the context of religious and national differences, but not in the context of their social status - discrimination and social exclusion.
The presentation of the Declaration is part of the project "The role of marginalized groups in the process of reconciliation in BiH" implemented by the Foundation for Social Inclusion in BiH with the support of the German Embassy in BiH.
