Zvizdić taking part in the World Economic Forum in Davos

DAVOS, January 24 (FENA) - Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Zvizdić is attending the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos, which has brought together around 3,500 participants this year, 65 heads of state and governments, and about 40 leaders of international organizations.

Today, Zvizdić attended an informal gathering of world economic leaders on the topic, "A peak or a turning point for Europe?" where the participants discussed the need to strengthen the EU and determine the foreign policy priorities of the European Union.

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH also attended the address of the UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, who, among other things, pointed out that one of the goals of the UN is to improve the capacities of the less developed countries that need encouragement and assistance in order to attract investments and in order to improve their economic development.

Zvizdić also attended the New Incentives for Europe panel where the panelists were prime ministers of Poland, the Netherlands, Spain and European Trade Commissioner Cecilia Malmström, and he also held talks with Austrian Federal Chancellor Sebastian Kurz.

On the sidelines of the World Economic Forum, Zvizdić met with Macedonian Prime Minister Zoran Zaev and congratulated him on his achievements regarding the constitutional changes with regards to the country's name.

He said that the citizens of Macedonia have chosen the right path leading them to the EU and NATO.

Chairman Zvizdić also met with Marjan Šarec, Prime Minister of Slovenia, and on this occasion the two officials confirmed the continuation of good cooperation between the two countries.
