Džindić: Gas price increase by 31.3 percent is not an option

FENA Vernera Jakupović

SARAJEVO, January 9 (FENA) – There is no way we will accept the proposed increase in gas prices in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina by 31.3 percent.

The increase of three to five percent might be considered, said the FBiH Minister of Energy, Mining and Industry Nermin Džindić.

A letter stating that there are elements for increasing the price of gas, but not by 31.3 percent, as proposed by the public enterprise BH Gas, was sent to the FBiH Ministry of Trade, therefore the FBiH Government is likely to propose an increase of three to five percent or will send back the decision to the Ministry of Energy, Mining and Industry to consider this and propose a concrete measure,” explained Džindić.
