BANJA LUKA, October 14 (FENA) - There are some 40 hydropower plants in operation in RS that do possess the water management permit, which is a prerequisite for obtaining the operational permit.
The water management consent to the project documentation has been obtained by 62 hydropower plants, of which 14 are in the final stage of construction.
Also, a smaller number of plants currently hold only concession contracts, and a number of contracts have been terminated.
This year, inspectors carried out 45 inspections at hydropower plants, out of which in 14 cases they found a failure to comply with the requirements of the Water Act and they issued measures for the removal of irregularities.
