DRVAR, August 2 (FENA) - In the course of exhumation of the remains of victims of war from the Golubnjača pit in Drvar Municipality, the exhumation team found an unexploded air bomb of German origin, from the period of the Second World War.

“Since the exhumation works were suspended after the discovery of the bomb, a team of the FBiH Civil Protection Administration (FUCZ), consisted of technicians for vertical approach and technical rescue, as well as technicians for the destruction of explosive devices, arrived at the site,” said Sead Vrana, Head of the Department for the removal of explosive devices at the FUCZ.

Vrana told FENA that the expert teams descended into the pit, carried out the identification of the bomb, and successfully brought it out to the surface where it was immediately destroyed.
