SARAJEVO, July 23 (FENA) - Vice-President of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina Jadranka Lokmić-Misirača and President of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ranko Debevec yesterday received death threats from an unknown person, said the HJPC today.
The competent police bodies have been informed in connection to the above mentioned threats, which are now conducting operative and other activities prescribed by the law in order to find the perpetrator of this criminal offense.
The High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina has strongly condemned any kind of pressure on the independence of the judiciary, and in particular the threats to the security and life of law enforcement executives, which have occurred on a number of occasions recently, and urges the competent institutions to find the perpetrators as soon as possible.
