Mayor of Bihać Fazlić: I demand urgent reaction from state bodies

FENA Press release

BIHAĆ, June 18 (FENA) - Mayor of Bihać Šuhret Fazlić demands urgent reaction from the state bodies to solve the problem of migrants in Bihać and emphasized that the state did not efficiently solve this problem.

Fazlić stated at the press conference today that after series of meetings and agreements with cantonal authorities, arrival of Minister of Security of BiH Dragan Mektić in Krajina, meeting with Chairman of the BiH Council of Ministers Denis Zvizdić in Sarajevo many conclusions and plans were adopted, but their implementation is behind.

"Situation is getting more serious in Bihać, because Bihać is suffering great damage before the beginning of a tourist season," he emphasized.

He commended yesterday's operation of members of USC MoI, who searched locations used by migrants and said there is a need for regular operations like this one.

"It is clear that most of them are good people and we would not wish their hardships on anyone, whether they are war, economic or religious migrants. That is why we cannot allow ourselves to become xenophobic. Any form of nationalism or hatred is not in the spirit of this city, but aware of the fact that there are individuals leaning towards delinquency among them we demand full and permanent presence of law and order forces in the city," he emphasized.
