SARAJEVO, May 31 (FENA) - Forty-five primary schools in BiH will participate in the project "School at the heart of community - Prevention of violence through value-based education and critical thinking", which will be implemented by the Center for Educational Initiatives Step by Step in the next three years, supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
On this occasion, a conference was organized in Sarajevo, which was an opportunity to bring together key stakeholders in the field of education, including representatives of entity and cantonal ministries and pedagogical institutes, parent associations, international organizations and local associations and affiliations.
The press was addressed by Director of USAID Mission in BiH Peter Duffy who pointed out that this project would also focus on the issue of radicalization.
“Young people who have not yet developed critical thinking are being exploited or manipulated. This is a project of prevention that will enable young people to cope with these problems and teachers are key in this process,” he added.
