SARAJEVO, May 18 (FENA) - Denis Zvizdić, the incumbent Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, has resigned his candidacy for the Presidency of BiH at today’s session of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA), confirmed SDA President Bakir Izetbegović, expressing his disappointment over his decision.
Such a decision by Zvizdić came after the SDA Presidency has decided at today's session that the candidate for the Presidency of BiH is to be elected by individual and secret ballots.
After the withdrawal of Zvizdić, about 400 participants at the SDA Convention, planned for 26 May will in secret vote procure choose between Safet Softić, Šefik Džaferović, vice-presidents of the House of Peoples and the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, and the Director of the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo, Sebija Izetbegović, also the wife of the SDA leader Bakir Izetbegović.
