SARAJEVO, May 17 (FENA) - On 16 January 2018, the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina confirmed the indictment charging the accused Slađan Tasić with the criminal offense of Crimes against Humanity under Article 172(1)h), as read with Subparagraph i), of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in conjunction with Article 29 of the CC BiH, all in conjunction with Article 180(1) of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Indictment charges the accused that during the period between mid-May and late August 1992, within a widespread and systematic attack launched by the Army of the Serb Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina and police of the Višegrad Public Security Station, assisted by para-military formations coming from Serbia, aimed against Bosniak civilians in the territory of Višegrad municipality, as a member of the Višegrad Public Security Station, together with other members of the Republika Srpska army and police, knowing of such an attack and that their actions constituted part of the attack, he took part in the persecution of Bosniak civilian population in the territory of the Višegrad municipality, on ethnic and religious grounds in conjunction with forced disappearance of people, stated the BiH Court.
