Indictment confirmed in Miodrag Vujičić case for war crimes in Prijedor

SARAJEVO, April 27 (FENA) - On 30 January 2018, by its decision No. S1 1 K 027431 17 Kro, the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina partly confirmed the indictment versus Miodrag Vujičić. The decision became final on 2 February 2018. The accused Miodrag Vujičić is charged with the criminal offense of Crimes against Humanity under Article 172(1)h) as read with Subparagraphs a), d), f) and k) of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in conjunction with Article 180(1) and Article 31 of the same Code.

The Indictment charges the accused Miodrag Vujičić that between 23 and 28 July 1992, within a widespread and systematic attack launched by the army and police of the Serb Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, subsequently Republika Srpska, aimed against the Bosniak population of the village of Zecovi, Municipality of Prijedor, which was carried out during the same period of time, knowing of such an attack and that his actions constituted part thereof, as a member of the Rasavačka Company of the 43rd Motorized Prijedor Brigade, operating within the Army of Republika Srpska, knowingly and significantly contributing to the joint criminal enterprise of civilian and military authorities in the Prijedor municipality, together with other members of Serb military and police forces, he participated in the persecution of Bosniak civilians from the Zecovi village in relation to killings and other inhumane acts of similar nature, stated the BiH Court.
